Sunday FunDay's

Our friends Smoke and Thomas came up with the term "Sunday FunDay's". . . A few Sunday's ago, we tried our hand at the Santa Monica Stairs. . .not an easy feat. We walked 180 stairs down, walked the block and then went 180 stairs back up. We did this three times (coincidence: I could not walk for almost three days after that!) Talk about a work out. Apparently, this is all the rage in LA, because everyone was doing it!! After the stairs, we grabbed breakfast and watched football at Barney's Beanery, then we hiked all over Abalone Cove and spent time in the tidepools where we were able to play with marine life -- (we even fed the resident octopus some baby crabs, and we were able to pet the starfish!) -- to finish off our Sunday FunDay, we were able to visit with our friends Rosalind and Nick (Rosalind's mom and grandmother were in town and made pizza!!). It was amazing, but that was probably a given since our friend Rosalind is a fantastic cook and the apple doesn't fall far from the tree on that one.

We spent this Sunday hiking through Malibu State Park and ended up at the M*A*S*H filming location (quite a disappointment if anyone is a big M*A*S*H fan!). . .However, what was not disappointing is the time we got to spend with our friends Smoke and Thomas. Thomas is only going to be in town with us a few more weeks before he leaves for Naval Boot Camp in beautiful, blustery Chicago! Thomas we thank you for serving our country, and hope you know that Smoke and Mia have all of your Sunday FunDay's planned until you leave California!!

Game 7

Mia and I got back from a beautiful wedding for our friends Lindsay and Adam in Pismo Beach. We pulled in to Toluca Lake just in time to see Dustin Pedroia hit a solo home run in Game 7 enabling the Red Sox and Jon Lester to begin with a lead. Unfortunately they didn't end with the lead. Mia and I now like Florida less than we did this morning.

I'm off to finish laundry and "nursing" my bride Mia.

And. . .we're live

After a whirlwind month of wedding parties, a honeymoon, and a minor operation. Brendan and I have settled into married life and are loving our new little home in Toluca Lake. We are having a blast together! We wanted to start this blog for our family and friends from far away to keep them in touch with what we're up to and what new adventures we're having as a new family. Stay tuned as we learn how to blog and post pictures, videos, and highlights of our life.
